Swedish

Swedish massage relaxes the entire body by rubbing muscles with long gliding strokes. Additional techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, kneading, bending and stretching. Swedish massage is excellent for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Prenatal massage assists in easing common aches and pains associated with pregnancy. It also helps lower anxiety and stress, improve sleep, reduce fluid retention, and fosters a closer connection between mother and baby. Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a passive style of practice that focuses on down-regulating the nervous system. It favors a sense of opening and softening in the body as opposed to creating muscular strength and endurance. Poses are supported and generally held for 3-5 minutes each, allowing time and space to cultivate patience, responsiveness and awareness.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is aimed at locating and correcting specific areas of chronic pain or tension. Through gentle myofascial release compressions and cross-fiber muscle friction, the deeper tissue structures of muscle and fascia (connective tissue) are addressed. By releasing adhesions and restrictions, blood moves more freely to the tissues and assists the body in healing.

Reflexology

Reflexology involves the manipulation of reflex areas on the feet, hands and ears that correspond to specific organs. Benefits include reduced stress, improved circulation and nerve function, and increased energy. A 15-minute session can be added on to any massage.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that works with the soft tissue structures of the body and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid between the head and the base of the spine. These structures and fluids protect, support, and nourish the brain and spinal cord. CST uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. Client remains fully dressed throughout session.
